The Cruz Mayor Estate is the place that Miguel Ángel Asturias, Guatemalan writer, journalist and diplomat, Nobel Prize for Literature 1967 and Lenin Peace Prize, liked to visit accompanied by his wife, Blanca de Araujo, “the woman with ginger-colored eyes” as he immortalized her in one of his poems.
In 1974 after visiting Gran Canaria he died in Madrid. His last years in Paris he remembered with nostalgia “La Paz” of this estate.

Was formerly a wine cellar and today you can enjoy its tranquility and its wonderful views.

Inspired by African architecture, glimpses the colors of the living nature of its land, and at the same time makes use of numerous external influences from earlier periods.
Loft Alemanes
In this Loft used to be very comfortable: Heinz G. Luck, a great friend of ours, actor from the Schauspielhause in Hamburg and drama teacher in that German city.
Casa Chica
It is the oldest enclosure of the farm, its construction dates from the 19th century.
In the garden of the small house there is a small cave that shelters the “Virgin of the 3 wishes”. This small wooden carving was discovered in Tucson (Arizona) last century and is part of a series of objects brought by the Spanish founders of the city in 1775. According to tradition, the virgin grants 1 of the three wishes requested by the believer .
